Fókus is a club based in the capital area in Iceland. The club was founded in 1999 and offers a welcoming platform for anyone seeking to develop their photographic skills and creative voice. This page is the only material provided in English. All our activities are conducted in Icelandic. Newcomers are always welcome. To become a member fill out the form you find here and follow the instruction. The annual fee for the program year 2025-2026 is 7,500 ISK.
What we do
The club activities run from early fall to late spring each year. The club hosts educational evenings, workshops, photowalks, short and longer photo trips, member exhibitions, image-sharing sessions at meetings, editing nights, and an annual yearbook. We publish articles and tips on our website, and share practical guidance on gear and post-processing. Members actively exchange knowledge, both online and in person, building a community as well as enhancing their personal craftsmanship.
